CM releases book on vat in Hindi

Jaipur, October 25. The Chief Minister, Smt. Vasundhara Raje released the book "Rajasthan Mulya Parivardhit Kar Pranali-2006" written on VAT in Hindi language at her residence here on Thursday. This book has been authored by the Chairman of Public Grievances Disposal Committee Shri S.N.Gupta, Shri Ravindra Raniwala and Shri Shanker Agrawal. Information relating to VAT, its analysis, rules, rates of taxes, forms & evaluation of stock has been given in easy language in Hindi. Smt.Raje expressed the hope on the occasion that better information in regard to VAT would be available to the public through this effort. She stressed the need to make such efforts that more and more people could be informed about this book. Praising the members of the high level committee constituted on VAT, she said that comprehensive information had been made available to traders and consumers on the subject of VAT through their efforts. She also asked them to give positive suggestions about electricity, water and agriculture profession. The Chief Minister said that the initiative of this government on VAT including our act on this subject was being praised at the central level and also by the different states. Earlier the Chairman of the Public Grievances Disposal Committee Shri S.N.Gupta informed that VAT act was enforced in the state from 1st April, 2006. With the view to spread the information about the VAT, the high level committee established contact with 10,000 traders at the divisional level. The committee also apprised the State Government about the different problems of the traders, on which the government also took appropriate steps. Shri Gupta said that the act on VAT enforced in Rajasthan have been praised in the whole state and it was being considered as the model act. He expressed the hope that the book published on VAT in Hindi language would reach to the large number of people for the benefit of the state. Shri K.L.Jain of Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Forty Shri S.S.Jemini, members of high level committee Shri Sunil Kumar, Shri B.L.Joshi, Shri Ravi Dhariwal and Shri Ghanshyam Kanoongo were present on the occasion.
