Rajasthan Pavilion presenting a sketch of Rajasthan marching ahead in Power Scenario

Jaipur 20 November. Rajasthan Pavilion is presenting a sketch of Rajasthan marching ahead in power scenario at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi during ongoing India International Trade Fair 2007. The State Government, with an active initiative of Chief Minister Ms Vasundhara Raje, is trying utmost to provide adequate, reliable and quality power to all by year 2012.
In theme area of Rajasthan Pavilion models of state's various power stations have been displayed. At present State's installed capacity is 6223 MW on 1-10-2007 in which 55.23 percent of it is attained from state sector, 29.13 percent is gained from central sector and remaining 15.64 percent is generated from shared projects. The installed capacity of Rajasthan is to be doubled by 2011-12 i.e.  12,000 MW plus.
In theme area of Pavilion a charming model of Giral Lignite Project (unit-2) has been displayed. It's power generation capacity is 125 MW. The models of Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RVVN) power stations at glance could be visualized there. On one side a model of gas based Dholpur project has been exposed beautifully, on other side replica of Chhabra TPS (Unit1&2) has been placed with capacity of 110 MW and 2X250 MW respectively.
A model of Giral Lignite Thermal Power Station tells about it's capacity of producing 125 MW power in an interesting way. Due to limitation of space in Pavilion some specimen models have been eracted on the venue but as according to officials of the department present over there, Kota (195MW) and Suratgarh Super Power Stations (2500 MW) speak the story of development with quality on their own. These power stations are operating at high plant load factor and have been receiving meritorious productivity award time since their inception.
After visiting the theme area of Pavilion you will find that Rajasthan is a state of strong transmission network, occupies better power supply position than others and imposes no power cut on industries and urban areas offering 6-7 hours supply for agriculture.
Besides these projects the projects e.g. Kalisindh Jawahar Super TPP and Chhabra Super TPP have been sanctioned.
The state government has also envisaged Customer Call Centrres at district Head Quarters for attending complaints round the clock.
The presentation of Power scenario in Rajasthan Pavilion tells that Rajasthan is a state of immense potential in the sectors of Non Conventional Power and Wind energy as well.
